Feeling stress and a tad overwhelmed at the moment. I've got another Nursing exam on Monday, paperwork/appointments galore for my new job, a whole miasma of crap for my other classes, and an abundance of personal things that I need to prepare for (like presents and my birthday that is coming up). Did I even mention that I got a new job? So, yes. I did. The people there are fabulous and I'm truly looking forward to working with them.
Indeed. And that's exactly my perception of it. Today I was talking to Mr. Wonderful about all things I've got going on in work/school. Here's what he had to say about it:
Me: "I don't know how I'm going to get this all done."
Mr. Wonderful: "I know how."
Me: "Oh?"
Mr. Wonderful: "Yes."
Me: *giggle* "Care to elaborate?"
Mr. Wonderful: "Because you're you."
Me: "Aww, thanks cutie." *smile*
Mr. Wonderful: "It's true. If there's something you want, sweetheart, you go for it with everything you've got. I have no doubt that you'll get everything done."
Did I mention he's awesome? <3
Hope you're all doing fabulous!
"Today you may feel as if you are caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place with no apparent way out. Still, the current circumstances are not as tough as you might think. There's no doubt about it; this is a test. But it's not about what you can do to make anything better now. It's about how you can transform stress into positive action and improve the quality of your life."

ok, now I am healthy enough to rant...
what the fuck happened to "Eat chicken soup, drink OJ, and sleep"?
SERIOUSLY. The only time I ever took cough syrup when I was a kid was after something like that lasted for more than two days and wasn't going away. But if you ever got sick, it was always "chicken soup, oj, sleep." and you know what? when you did that? YOU FELT BETTER. YOU GOT HEALTHY REAL QUICK. So that's what I did, I ate allot of chicken soup, I drank oj and cider, (and when my throat got scratchy I drank sprite... no ginger ale was found), and I made sure I got LOTS of sleep. I started feeling bad Monday. It's Thursday and I'm almost better.
Seems rational? Right? It's worked since forever, we figured out that chicken soup and OJ are actually REALLY good for you when you're sick, and it works like, 99% of the time.
I told people what I was doing and they looked at me like I was nuts. "What?! You're not taking any meds?" "well... no. I usually let my immune system do the work." "Not even for the symptoms?!" "Usually those make me feel worse anyway, and some of those symptoms are your body actually trying to HEAL ITSELF." Yeah, fever? That's your body killing germs. Coughing and sneezing? yeah, that's getting the groad outta your system.
Remember back when someone would take a pill for everything and everyone would call them a hypochondriac?

ok, sick? not good. I had to skip my statistics class today, stay home and eat chicken soup and nap. I havent done anything artsy in a while, really... but I have also been super duper busy. I kinda want to start a woodblock print, maybe try out those woodcarving things I got. mod a wooden box I got. I also have been re-reading drawing on the right side of the brain, because I might try actually drawing realistically for once. I kindof dont WANT to, but... meh. it will be usefull.
Everything is. just. ( peachy. )

I thought I had a high enough level of energy to write an entry for the first time in almost two weeks...I guess not. I have been checking through all of your entires (albeit very quickly..) and I hope you're all doing fabulous. Tomorrow I should be more up to par to type about the rather large number of events that have happened. Me needs some sleepies!!
( Mindless self-indulgence...no, really. )

My car randomly got impounded, and I am almost broke. Puck is helping me get to school and pay for it, but this, on top of all the other crap, just... sucks.
work was interesting, another guy there and I butted heads because I was doing something I was told to do, and a ten year old Jewish matchmaker was trying to get me and the new girl hooked up.
