well, even though I have been busy as hell and working more and dealing with car issues and socializing and everything, at least I have been drawing more.
oh yeah, holidays... right, forgot to tell people how they were.
CHRISTMAS EVE EVE
Visited with kelly, after giving a ride to two hitchhikers on the way. might have saved their lives, they were dead tired and it was about 20 degrees at most out. they were planning on walking what was probably about over 10 miles to get to their house, and no one would give them a ride. She gave me a box of awesome neat things and sodas an joyness.
CHRISTMAS EVE
Got to hang out with Theaddy. got unexpected presents from all sorts of PA friends, which made me feel pretty happy. we had a blast and watched the.... strangest... of videos.
CHRISTMAS
Spent time with mom, and had awesome present having. The glug from the previous night mysteriously vanished... even though we saw it when we went downstairs in the morning.got a lot of art supplies and stuff I liked... Then I spent time with Dad and Anatasia, and we had lots of fun. It was totaly black hatter day. Then we went to my step-grandparents house, and it was a blast there, too. then I went home...
Day AFTER CHRISTMAS
I had to work, but when I got home SPAZZ WAS VISITING! ftw. She stayed untill... this past sunday.
NEW YEARS EVE
We totally had the raddest of parties. Even people from tennesee came to it, and it was peeps we missed like WOAH. there was much awesome had... with fun games and drinkings and the countdown with lots of friends... yeah....
but now school is back. I am taking physical anthropology, cultural anthropology, and sociology of deviance.

Finally! After a couple of months of talking about it, I've finished cleaning out my desk. It feels good to get the miasma of papers, old bills and randomness that has been taking up space out of there.
Now I'm working on the tedious task of ripping what remains of my music from CDs onto my laptop. Which I have also been talking about doing for months. At least I feel like I'm accomplishing some level of organization.
Work has been decent albeit a little stressful. Many of my residents have become ill with colds, which is a bummer. A couple of my fellow caregivers and my boss have also come down with a bug of some sort, myself included. We've been doing our best to keep the nasties away but to no avail. It is that time of year after all.
I love my job with all of my heart but it has been somewhat of a struggle getting used to a completely different field. I've been having difficulty finding a sense of grounding within myself. I'm used to a setting where it's "Go, go, go!" and while much of my job is just that, it's difficult when we hit down time. Part of me likes that we have an hour and a half of relaxing and taking a sit from being on our feet all morning....but a greater part of me feels as though that isn't acceptable.
I find myself torn between listening to my co-workers and relaxing or doing every single minute task I can think of to pass the time. I have a strange fear that if I do relax, my co-workers will start to think I'm lazy (even though they told me to) but if I don't relax, they'll think I'm a busy body who can't be part of the team :/ I know it's silly of me but I can't help this feeling and it's just been gnawing at me like crazy. I hope I'm making sense.
Sorry that I haven't been around enough to comment on any of your entries. I'll try to make a point to come onto livejournal more often and read through your entries. Between working six days a week, spending time with my children, spending time with Mr. Wonderful, side projects, DragonAge and Modern Warfare 2, I haven't had time. I hope your doing well and having a very happy start to a fresh new year.

So... my transmission is failing. I will need a new car sometime soon. In the meantime I have a car that cant go backwards and might overheat. It's going to be... an adventure.
So I was going to go out today, and then my car wouldn't go in reverse. -_-" After finally getting it out of my parking lot, we went to the gas station and got some transmission oil, because that might have been the problem. THEN I saw that my car was OVERHEATING... so I drove back home. Now it's at the shop....
How come this always happens when I get a large amount of money? or is it going to happen and I have the good fortune of getting money right beforehand? either way, its very annoying.
